E.P. Carrillo has announced their newest creation: E.P. Carrillo Short Run 2023. This annual limited edition release is the first time it’s being made in another factory outside of the Dominican Republic.

E.P. Carrillo’s Short Run series is renowned for its unique, one-of-a-kind blends that use the rarest tobaccos and tell distinct stories every year. This year’s creation promises to deliver an unforgettable smoking experience that expertly balances complexity and smoothness.

Made at the Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co factory in Honduras, the Short Run 2023 will be carefully crafted and presented in three sizes. Our Robusto, at 5 x 50 retails for $10.75 (24ct), and Toro, at 6 x 52 retails for $11.75 (24ct), will both be released with 1,250 boxes each, while the Gordo, a 6 x 60 size retails for $12.75 (24ct), is offered in 625 boxes. Our packaging showcases the iconic E.P. Carrillo design, complemented with a Honduran flair, reflecting the cigars’ country of origin. Sales begin this week at PCA and the first shipment is slated for late July.

The blend itself is a testament to our commitment to quality and flavor. Each cigar is meticulously wrapped in a Habano seed Ecuadorian, known for its richness and depth. Underneath, a Nicaraguan binder along with fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras. Our Short Run Cigar line stands as a testament to our dedication to crafting excellent cigars for aficionados around the globe.

Ernesto Perez-Carrillo comments: “I’m thrilled to be working with the cherished Copan tobacco from Honduras after over two decades. Crafting this blend at Oscar Valladares’ factory with his team is a perfect fusion of tradition and innovation. Our 2023 Short Run is a tribute to the timeless character of this unique tobacco, brought to life with a modern touch.” To which Oscar Valladares responds: “Working together with Don Ernesto Perez-Carrillo has been a formidable experience and a great honor for us, and it fills us with satisfaction to have used tobacco from Copan, Honduras. This tobacco has filled us with satisfaction and has been a fundamental part of our history and one of my favorites.”
