2021 Cigar of the Year #5: Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Maduro Epicure

December 17, 2021 By Matthew Tabacco

When I think Perdomo, I ALWAYS think sun-grown. I think that Nick Perdomo and his company have done a tremendous job making all cigars. Don’t get me wrong, there is a reason it says “Quality, Tradition and Excellence” right in the box. Being vertically integrated in the cigar business has been a major asset to Perdomo and those like them. Visiting his farm and factory are at number one on my list.

But I am so impartial to his sun-grown cigars. The Habano Barrel Aged, 20th Anniversary and even the 10th Anniversary to name a few. Nothing against the others, the sun-grown are just my favorite Perdomo’s. But when 10th Anniversary Maduro came out, it really blew me away. So rich, so flavorful and the quality…you already know, top notch as usual.

Perdomo’s best selling sku is the 10th Anniversary Champagne Connecticut. Rightfully so, a powerhouse in itself. Very rich with a little bit of bite for a Connecticut shade wrapper. Reminiscent of the Atabey cigars. But this Maduro changed my whole look on Perdomo and has me going for that darker wrapper more and more ever since.

The Reserve 10th Anniversary Maduro Epicure is a 6 x 54 Toro that carry’s an MSRP of $9.19 per cigar or $191.99 for a box of 20. It is a Cuban-seed Nicaraguan puro. Look for it at your local B&M retailer.
