The crew at Sinistro Cigars did a very good job at making their booth as welcoming as walking into your best friend’s living room. With two sections of leather chairs and coffee tables set up on either side of a central display, it looked much like a place to kick back and smoke for a while, making it easy to see their customers would be at ease sitting down to do business. Add in the out-of-this-world Armenian coffee they were serving, along with great conversation with Coleman Fine and James Agopian, it was hard to leave.
Sinistro was introducing one new cigar at the show, Mr. Desflorado, as well as a re-release of an extremely popular limited edition.
Mr. Desflorado joins the very popular core line of Mr. Black, Mr. Red, and Mr. White. Dressed in pink and gold packaging, the cigar is named in reference to a tobacco growing process, where the pink flower at the top of the tobacco plant is removed early on. Doing so, allows the leaves of the plant to gain more energy and nutrients, allowing them to have a darker, sweeter profile.
The cigar is produced at the Tabacalera El Artista factory in the Dominican Republic and features an Ecuadorian Connecticut Desflorado wrapper, over a Cameroon binder, with fillers from the Dominican Republic, Columbia, and Nicaragua.
The cigar will be available in 20-count boxes in the following sizes. 5 X 52 Robusto with an MSRP of $10 and a 6 X 54 Toro with an MSRP of $11, and should be on retailer’s shelves by the end of July.
The next bit of news from the Sinistro team is the re-release of the Last Cowboy limited edition. The cigars come in 14 count boxes, and this packaging makes them very unique. They are divided into two bundles of seven cigars, packed to resemble a bundle of dynamite that might have been used for mining back in the days of the Wild West. With the Last Cowboy line being the top seller for the company, Vegas odds would say these will disappear quickly from retailer’s shelves. Coleman fine tells us to look for these to ship in the next 2-3 months.
