Plasencia Cigars announced today in a press release the appointment of Tim Griek as Vice President of Sales, EMEA & Global Travel Retail.
With nearly fifteen years of experience in the tobacco industry, Tim has built a sterling reputation for developing successful sales and channel strategies while fostering meaningful relationships throughout the premium tobacco world. Since 2023, he has supported the Plasencia family business across the Global Travel Retail channel and the Middle East region, helping expand the brand’s presence in these strategically important markets. Based in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, he will now oversee sales efforts across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Global Travel Retail, working closely with distributors, retailers, and partners to further strengthen Plasencia’s position around the world.
For Tim, the appointment carries a unique personal significance. His first cigar experience came nearly fifteen years ago when he selected a Jalapa torpedo from an office humidor, unaware at the time that the cigar had been crafted by the Plasencia family.
