Casa Carrillo announced earlier this week the release of Pledge Purple, a Premier Collection cigar created to commemorate the five-year anniversary of Pledge Prequel.
Grown in the Connecticut River Valley, the Havana-seed Connecticut wrapper was sourced from Dunn & Foster. While the wrapper shares its origin with the celebrated Prequel, Pledge Purple is an entirely new blend.
Pledge Purple only comes in one size, a Toro (6 x 54) vitola. Pledge Purple pairs this wrapper with a Mexican binder and Nicaraguan fillers from Estelí, Condega, and Ometepe, delivering structure, smoothness, and complexity that unfolds with every draw. The result is a cigar defined by balance, depth, and intentional craftsmanship that is full strength.
Produced as a Premier Collection release, only 3,500 boxes of Pledge Purple will be made available in multiple installments throughout the year, allowing for careful production and a measured release. Each cigar is presented in boxes of ten and will carry a suggested retail price of $18 per cigar, reinforcing its limited production status while preserving its focus on quality and consistency. Pledge Purple is expected to ship to select retailers in early March.
