Padron to Update Bands on 1964, 1926 and Dámaso Lines

July 9, 2024 By Matthew Tabacco

Have you purchased a Padron cigar recently and questioned the authenticity because the band was…off? Rest easy, as those concerns have been cleared up. Padron announced today that they are currently in the process of implementing a new single, integrated cigar banding program for the 1964 Anniversary Series, 1926 Serie and Dámaso Series product lines. Some of these new banded cigars are arriving at retailers already.

Padron says it is currently phasing out its current two-band approach which uses a primary band above an individually numbered guarantee band where consumers will find a unique serial number. In its place, a single, one-piece integrated band is now being slowly implemented across these lines.

The new cigar bands will still visually maintain both a primary band above an individually numbered guarantee band but as a single, one-piece integrated band design. In addition, Padron says the Family Reserve Series will also move to using a single integrated band; this is anticipated to begin at some point in the future. However, Padron said their special cigar releases, (eg., 90th, 80th, 45th, Dámaso Red, etc.), with a secondary band below the primary and guarantee band, will continue to use their existing secondary band as an independent band.
