Micky Pegg and his business partner Frank Layo were once again in attendance with their brand All Saints Cigars. All Saints is a brand that the Smokin Tabacco team has really come to enjoy these past few years. Their cigars have rated high with us and always have been able to impress. The team had a small booth but nicely arranged with couches and a small prayer candle setup up to bring the Catholic and saint theme to life.
Not much new to see at All Saints as the company is primarily focusing on working on the portfolio that they already have. Before PCA 2023, the company introduced two new sizes to all of their lines: the Mitre (5 x 54 Belicoso) and the Vesper (4 1/2 x 44). However, they were showcasing the return of their first cigar Solamente which will be a limited-edition release later this year.
Solamente was originally release in 2019 when the brand first launched and is the Spanish word for Only. It is a 5 x 58 toro with Ecuadorian habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua. The new release will feature the same blend and is being released in November to coincide with the Christian holiday, All Saints Day.
Micky Pegg told us that the Solemente would be an annual release and that the box count will correspond with the year it was released. Therefore, this year’s Solamente will come in boxes of 23. In addition, the price was raised for this release to $20 per cigar, a steep increase from the $11.95 of the original release. Like the original, it will be rolled and manufactured at Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. (TAVICUSA) in Estelí, Nicaragua. Solamente ships to All Saints retailers November 1st, 2023.
